Oak
There are more than 200 oak subspecies in the world. A very popular classic tree species in Europe. Oakwood is one of the materials that “breathe” very moderately – swells and shrinks very minimally. The material is equally beautiful as classic and white wood, and as pickled black wood.
Description:
- Class A – boards without cracks and clean on both sides without twigs.
- Class B – one side clean without twigs, live twigs 15-40 mm are allowed on the other side.
- Class C – twigs on both sides are allowed, curvature up to +/-100mm.
*The width of uncut (with bark) timber is measured on the narrow side of the board from the bark to the bark in the middle of the board.
