Linden tree
Limewood is soft, light, and usually white, without blackheart, with weak annual rings. It is used for the production of plywood, musical instruments, drawing boards, wood carvings, and sauna benches.
Description:
- Class A – boards without cracks and clean on both sides without twigs.
- Class B – one side clean without twigs, live twigs 15-40 mm are allowed on the other side.
- Class C – twigs on both sides are allowed, curvature up to +/-100mm.
*The width of uncut (with bark) timber is measured on the narrow side of the board from the bark to the bark in the middle of the board.
